LEGO Lord Of The Rings eShop Demo Now Available

Lego Lord Of The Rings 3DS Box Art US
It's one ring to rule them all! The game demo of LEGO Lord Of The Rings is now available for download on the 3DS (US) eShop.

The game itself has no definite release date set for Europe or North America but we know that it's due sometime in November for Australia. The game is based on The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and faithfully follows the storyline.

The demo requires 721 blocks and gives you 30 tries. The game allows you to play as Frodo and you'll also be able to switch with his comrades such as Sam, Merry and Aragorn by using the touchscreen. There are about 9 characters in your party that you can take with you at a time.

Our initial impression is that the game looks polished compared to previous lego games on the 3DS. There seems to be some dynamic lighting and shadows applied and the game works quite well in 3D. Don't take our word for it though, go ahead to the US eShop and download the demo!

LEGO The Lord of the Rings was developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game is also be coming out for the PlayStation Vita.

  1. Yep. Downloaded the demo too and it was good. The last LEGO game I played was LEGO Rock Band. And actually, I never thought LEGO LOTR will be good, I mean, yeah, the demo version. I hope that good demo will translate into a good game.

  2. I do like the graphics but the gameplay still feels a little bland. Not sure, but I heard the 3DS version doesn't have that open-world feature.

  3.  Really? That's a shame. The open world is like the game's selling point. I don't think that the game did well in the 3D aspect base on the demo. How about a limited open-world feature (if ever there's one?) I hope they incorporate that.

  4. They did it with Lego Batman 2 so I won't be surprised if they do the same with Lego LOTR
