Nintendo 3DS System Update Now Available

Nintendo 3DS Internet Browser
Today marks an important day for Nintendo 3DS owners as the latest Nintendo 3ds System Update takes place today! Below is a 3-step tutorial on how to update as well as a peek on the things that are included in the update.

Updating to the latest version is easy, just follow the three simple steps below:

  1. From the home menu, select the "System Settings"
  2. Once in the application, select "Other Settings"
  3. If you scroll further to the right (page 4 on mine), you will see an option that says "System Update" just right below the Language button.
And that's it! My 3DS was updated from version 1.1.0-1U to 2.0.0-2U. The latest system update gives 3DS owners the following:

Two free games - Needs to be downloaded through eShop but the eShop is not accessible in some regions as of this time.
  • 3D Classics ExciteBike 3D
  • Pokedex 3D - Access to 16 Pokemon initially
Nintendo eShop
  • Virtual Console - Lets you download classic games
Internet Browser - According to Nintendo some images can be viewed in 3D with this browser. Uses the lower screen to navigate and display extends to the upper screen when you scroll up.

Known Issues
  • Nintendo says that they are aware of the freezing issue with Ridge Racer 3DS (as a side-effect of the update) and will "take care of the matter" this mid-June
  • eShop is currently not available in the country you have selected in the system settings. You can try changing your country in settings->profile but then we get the error below...
  • Error Code: 007-2503 Nintendo eShop is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later., not sure when this will be fixed but we'll keep you updated in this post!
Are you enjoying the updates now! Tell us your experience!
