As I unwrap the gift app, my heart just kept pounding. Then behold! A beautiful four swords (literally, four swords) icon appears before me. The game splash screen specifically tells that this is from the Zelda 25th anniversary. The game does not utilize the top screen 100% since this is basically a GBA port. There's also no touch support which is OK for me.
There's a story before you start the game. After I'm through with the title screen, input my name, then I get to choose between multiplayer or single player mode (cool!). If you have people around you playing the same game, you can play with them using DS wireless play. Unfortunately I'm a very lonely guy who just encounter streetpass tags but never really make any friends.
Right on the game, Zelda four swords single player mode allows me to choose different colors for my character. I can't seem to choose Link's original color (green) though... Oh wait, the other color is actually YOUR companion! Great, so I still get to play as the green link! Yey!
You can order your companion to follow you, leave him behind sitting, throw him around and... You can even also switch characters!
Beautiful game indeed! If this is enough reason to get a 3DS, then I would say it is so! The Legend Of Zelda Four Swords free download will last up until February 20, 2012.
