Nintendo 3DS XL Arrives In The Philippines — Priced At Php 10, 500

It was a jaw-dropping day for Filipino 3DS enthusiasts as the 3DS XL launched yesterday (August 19) here in the Philippines. Photos of the newly-bought device were shared through social-media sites and everyone sharing their warm reception. Here are several reactions that we gathered from people who already bought the device.

So far, the local stores that offered the unit are the ever most popular retail store for games; Datablitz and iTech.  Both stores price the 3DS XL at around Php 10, 500 or $250.00 (about $50 more than the SRP announced by Nintendo).

There were different reactions, but mostly positive. A lot would claim that the 3DS XL had a better appearance, improved 3D effect and much enjoyable to use. Some would also say that the bigger screen gives less headache.

Players also commended the new matte finish which is now more finger-print and scratch proof. People who bought the 3DS XL also liked the new stylus and earphone placements.

We haven't actually tried but people seem to claim that the battery life have improved ranging from 1 to 1.5 hours. The 3DS XL package also now comes with a 4GB SD Card compared to the launch version which only came with a 2GB SD Card.

Well it seems to be making a lot of people happy. Are you planning to jump in the bandwagon?

  3. Another price drop might not come out anytime soon. I suggest you start saving then maybe you'll have the budget ready if we get a price drop. ;)

  4. Where are you from? They should have this in SM Malls. I think the 3DS XL costs around Php 11, 000 in Toy Kingdom stores (because that's how much Toys R Us offer it).

  11. magkano na po yan ngayon? Lahat po ba nang mga binebentang 3ds XL from north america version? o european version?

  12. I think it should be around 9,500 to 11,000 now. There's only Asian or US version available here in the Philippines as far as I know. You might be able to buy a European version online though.
