Toriko: Gourmet Monsters! Brings Monster Raising To The 3DS

Toriko: Gourmet Monsters!
Bandai Namco Games is bringing a monster raising game to the 3DS based on the Japanese manga and anime series illustrated and written by Japanese artist Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro. The game is called Toriko: Gourmet Monsters.

According to Siliconera, the game will be a monster-raising RPG and will feature over 200 monsters. Unlike Pokemon or Monster Hunter games however, players are not expected to hunt monsters in this game. According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the game will feature a battle royale-style gameplay. Also, Just like Kid Icarus: Uprising and Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, launch copies of the game will include AR cards.



Toriko has also seen a PSP release last year in an RPG game called Toriko: Gourmet Survival. The PSP version also just had a sequel released last July.

Toriko: Gourmet Monsters! is scheduled for release on December 13, 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
