The game is under development by TT Games, the long-time developer of the Lego games franchise. Lego Marvel Super Heroes promise to feature over 100 unlockable characters including Spider-Man, Thor, Deadpool, Loki, Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, Wolverine, and Magneto.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes also promise to deliver a completely original story. The plot involves Nick Fury calling on the Marvel heroes to save the Earth from threats brought by famous super villains such as Loki and Galactus. The game will bring-in a mixture of adventure and humor.
Managing Director of TT Games Publishing said that they intend to form a game that has a "fun, family-friendly gameplay". He also mentioned about the places that players could explore, “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe”.
