Sony Mandates All PS4 Developers To Support PlayStation Vita Remote Play

PlayStation 4 and Vita Remote Play
It's been rumored recently that Sony is mandating all PS4 developers to support PlayStation Vita remote play. It's been recently confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida that this is indeed, true.

In a twitter post, in response to another user, Yoshida said: "Yes, it's true unless the game requires specific hardware like the camera. It will be great to play PS4 games on PS Vita."

The next information has been part of the rumor and has not been verified. Remote play will allow the Vita to be play PlayStation 4 games by down-scaling the resolution from 1080p to 960x544. The compression will be done using the PS4's built-in video encoder.

The PS3 and Vita will communicate over WiFi. Obviously, network quality will have some effect on the playing speed. This process will lose some detail, but some anti-aliasing (SSAA) effect should help compromise for the quality.
