Xerneas, the fairy-type legendary Pokemon in Pokemon X will be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.
It's currently unconfirmed if Xerneas will be a playable character. Xerneas's appearance was only confirmed after Super Smash Bros director Masahiro Sakurai posted on Miiverse a "Pic of the day" screenshot of Pikachu beside on what seems to be Xerneas's horn (whistle).
Sakurai also commented:
"Pic of the day. We have absolutely nothing to announce today regarding Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Really!"
