Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda will be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U as revealed by Masahiro Sakurai in Miiverse as "pic of the day".
Skull Kid will not be a playable character, however. He will be available as an assist trophy instead. An assist trophy comes in the form of an item which summons a character and helps its user in battle.
Skull Kid actually made several appearances in the The Legend of Zelda series such as Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess but plays a more major role in Majora's Mask.
