Check out these screenshots of Animal Crossing: New Leaf that is bound to come to the 3DS next year for North America. Animal Crossing is a virtual life game that started on the Nintendo 64. The game basically involves building and collecting stuff, interacting with animals and the people around you.
The 3DS version lets players assume the role of a mayor. You can customize the town and your own home and because you're the mayor, you can set laws. Some 3DS-specific feature will also be supported such as QR codes for trading clothes and StreetPass feature for trading house designs.
The game will be coming out in Japan tomorrow in retail and digital format. Animal Crossing: New Leaf's slated release date for the US is in Q2 of 2013.
