Uncharted: Fight For Fortune Confirmed

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune
Earlier this week, Sony finally confirmed the game Uncharted: Fight for Fortune for the PS Vita to be a real thing. The game is an action-adventure turn-based card game that will feature different characters, both heroes and villains from the Uncharted series.

The game is under development by Sony's in-house development team, Bend Studio together with One Loop Games. According to Co-Studio Director at SCEA Bend Studio Chris Reese, they are also in close coordination with Naughty Dog.

The gameplay involves "creating a team of Faction cards featuring heroes, villains, and mercenaries from the UNCHARTED universe, then using that team to defeat your opponent while defending yourself from their attacks".

The game introduces the concept of factions cards which you can enhance and give abilities to. You can use faction cards to reduce the health of your opponent's faction cards or reduce the health of your opponent. Once a card's health reaches zero, that card is removed from play while you get to win by zeroing the enemy's health.

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is scheduled for release on December 4th and priced at $4.99 in North America.

A patch will also be released at the same time for Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The patch will enhance the artifacts you've collected for immediate use in Fight for Fortune. Artifacts that you collect in Golden Abyss also enables you to go to battle with other players and AI opponents.

  2. I was put off a little bit as well by the "Card Game" idea. But I'm interested on the plot so I'm not taking this out of the checklist just yet.
