Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus Screenshots + PS Vita-Specific Info

Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja recently released some new screenshots of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus for the PS Vita. More screenshots and info about the game after the jump!

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is a port of the PS3 version which was released back in 2009. The port will have will have a variety of PlayStation Vita-only features such as the front and rear touch support and motion-control features to make actions.

There will also be new modes in the game called the Tag Mission and Ninja Race modes. Tag mission mode allows players to switch characters including Ayane, Rachel, and Momiji in real-time while defending an AI-controlled partner. The Ninja Race mode puts the player on a competition with enemies to race towards a goal. While racing, players can pick up items to enhance speed and attack power.

Newbie players don't need to despair. The PS Vita version will have a "Hero" difficulty level. In this difficulty settings, Ryu will auto-guard during tough situations and players can also trigger powerful attacks, giving more offensive prowess to advance in the game.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is scheduled for release in Q1 of 2013.
