Sakura Samurai for 3DS eShop Coming February 2nd

Another sword-wielding game called Sakura Samurai will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop. It looks like an RPG but is falls under the Action genre, very intriguing indeed.

The Story seem to revolve around a Sakura tree (Cherry Blossom). For centuries, a goddess lived on that tree, the beautiful goddess of light. You will play the role of a young boy known as Sakura Samurai. He travels to master the way of the sword, until one day he meets a Kappa (a  water sprite in Japanese folklore) who offered to train him. Battle against Castle Lords who are taking advantage of the chaos happening on the countryside and hungry for control over the region.

The gameplay mechanics simply involve dodging with the use of the B button together with the Circle Pad and counter-attacking using the A button. It already makes me feel like a real Samurai. To make
things even more interesting, there will be special moves in the game.

Aside from the main game there are also other features available such as survival and time attack mode, and taking a walk on the garden which keeps tracks of the number of steps you make with your 3DS.

Sakurai Samurai will come to the Nintendo eShop for $6.99 on February 2, 2012.
