Dragon Quest VII was initially released for the PSOne back in 2001. The first four titles and US releases were named to "Dragon Warrior" and came out exclusively on Nintendo platforms. The 5th and 6th installment followed the original title and were released on the Nintendo DS platform. Nintendo missed on the 7th installment, until now.
The 3DS remake is being handled by ArtePiazza, the same developer that worked on the DS releases. Dragon Quest VII remake for the Nintendo 3DS will be released on February 7th, 2013 in Japan.
