Toukiden Set This Summer In Japan, Demo Coming This April

Toukiden (PS Vita, PSP)
Toukiden, a Monster Hunter-like game for the PlayStation Vita and the PSP is finally set to come this summer in Japan. In addition, a demo will be coming out early in April.

In Toukiden, players are on the side of a demon-fighting group called "Mononofu". Instead of just bambooing monsters, as with the case with Monster Hunter, players will need to chop the demons limb by limb in order to defeat them. The game will feature up to four players, with cross-play with the PSP system a confirmed possibility.

The game is best described as a Historical Hunting Game. For 1000 years, the Mononofu have defended their people from demons. After a long moment of peace, the demons have returned and thus call for the Mononofu to serve back on duty.

The game is being developed by Dynasty Warriors developer, Omega Force and published by Tecmo Koei.
