PlayStation 3 And Vita Remote Download Now Possible Via Web Store

A new feature was added to the Sony Entertainment Network Webstore which allows you to queue up content for downloading the next time you turn your PlayStation 3 or Vita on.

It seems a bit of a pain for PlayStation 3 owners as the download can only process during system startup or by remote play connection to the Vita/PSP. Nightly sync through PlayStation Plus membership also seems to help somehow.

As for Vita owners, this is something we haven't tried. One source says that your download queue gets processed as long as you're connected to the Internet. They also say that it will take about 10 minutes for the queue to get pushed and downloaded.

Well, here's something we've tried.

1. Add to a game your purchased to your download list
2. Go to your "Download List", select a game and click on "Download to your PS Vita" or PS3.
3. Restart your Vita (or call home and ask your grandma to do it for you) and...
4. Immediately, your download will start. Tap the notification icon on the upper-right corner of the screen to verify.

Once the download starts, the item instantly disappears from the webstore download queue.
