Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Coming To PlayStation Vita

WayForward has a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming game, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. With the announcement of the new PS Vita TV, they have added the PlayStation Vita as one of their development platforms for the game and one of the backers' choices.

Shantae actually started out as a Game Boy Color game which was published by Capcom in 2002. It was followed by Shantae: Risky’s Revenge which was released on the Nintendo DSi platform and later on the iOS platform. There will be a third and upcoming title for the Nintendo 3DS series called Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is the first Shantae game that will feature HD graphics. Much like its predecessors, it'll be a 2D side-scrolling, platforming, adventure game.
