New Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Addon

The rumored 3DS Circle Pad Addon is true after all. The new hardware will make the 3DS a little bigger, would put a 2nd circle pad on the right side as well as an added R button (an R2 button).

The new 3DS Circle Pad addon was said to be used primarily for Capcom's upcoming game, Monster Hunter Tri G. Some say that it would also be good to be used for First Person Shooter (FPS) type of games and I can see that to be true. There's also a rumor that Kojima Productions, the team behind the development of Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D is in possession of the same hardware.

While I personally anticipate this to be part of (if there would be) the next 3DS revision, I don't feel bad at all that they're making this as just an addon. As an early adopter, I don't feel ready to buy a new 3DS. It's good to know though that the system can be expanded in such a way. A few things still unknown is the price and if it would be bundled with the new Monster Hunter game.
