Yes, she's changed job as part of a fire brigade preventing Tangent City from burning. Also, you'll be rescuing the Hooligan Sisters from the first game this time instead of going after them.

Not much is known about the sequel but WayForward said that it will feature new puzzles, weapons and enemies. WayForward is targeting to release Mighty Switch Force 2 this Spring.
