This Week's Update On Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS

Super Smash Bros. - Megaman vs Mario
We have compiled the most prominent updates for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS this week.

To start off, we learned that both Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will have a single player mode. It will be different than the Wii version, but not much detail has been revealed about it so far.

Sakurai, the game's director seems very reluctant on adding more third-party characters in the game. Sakurai even expressed that the character selection for the game is "stressful", having to keep in mind the game balance, animation, graphics and sound.

Loyal fans of some characters are also being considered, so Sakurai and his team doesn't just make a decision to include or remove them. Having said that, Sakurai said that they may have to reduce the number of characters because of the 3DS's certain limitations.
"The reality of the situation unfortunately is that there are certain limitations on the 3DS, so we’re forced into a situation where we may need to reduce some characters to a certain degree, but we’re really working hard to include as many characters as possible."
Check us out again for more updates on Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS (and maybe, even a little on the Wii U version).
