The screenshots feature the title screen, and more about character customization. You can select the gender of your character and as shown in the screenshot, it seems that you can change the character color, hair, eyes, etc. The screenshots also show a little bit of the village exploration part.
Natsume is behind the Harvest Moon games for the Nintendo 3DS. Hometown Story is being designed by the designer of Harvest Moon himself, Yasuhiro Wada and art by Atsuko Nishida while the music is composed by popular Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu.
