With E3 drawing near, almost every move that Nintendo or Sony makes warrant for some big public speculation. Just as when Nintendo recently removed the regular 3DS from the North American official page.
Speculations suggest of a new 3DS model — most probably, a 3DSLite. While it might be pure wishful thinking, both the 3ds regular and xl model could definitely use some improvement - obviously, an added right circle pad remains a good candidate, but a size between the 3DS XL and the regular one will also be good.
The regular 3DS remains visible on the "What is Nintendo 3DS" section of the page as well as the European and Japanese websites.
