Beyond The Labyrinth Screenshots & Gameplay Information

So it would seem like there are mixed views about the showcase for Beyond The Labyrinth at the recently held Tokyo Game Show (TGS). Below are some information about the gameplay as well as some Beyond The Labyrinth Screenshots that could give us some idea of how the game would look like without the 3D.

It would turn out that the girl shown on all the screenshots before is not the main character after all. Rather, she's a companion and the main character would be no other than the player himself.

The game is themed as a "3D Dungeon RPG". You explore around a dungeon where you will encounter monsters. Did I mention that the game will be in first person? That's right, and as you can see in the screenshot above there is a map that would guide you in your quest.

There is a a special battle screen when you go into battle mode, pretty much the same as it has been for most JRPG's. You will have party members with you during battle.
