Double Eleven, Ltd has announced that tower defense game PixelJunk Monsters is getting some HD love on PlayStation Vita.
The HD version builds upon PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe which was released on the PSP. PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate HD features over 30 hours of gameplay set across story and challenge levels.
The game's graphics has been remastered to take advantage of the Vita's high-resolution screen, even adding touchscreen support for the game. Ultimate HD includes the Encore expansion, as well as all the extra towers, enemies, and levels from the Deluxe edition.
PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD puts you on the role of Tikiman who must protect his helpless babies from waves of incoming monsters. You'll be placing towers at the right places and at the right time to kill the monsters, and you'll be able to buy, upgrade and discover new towers from the coins and gems that you collect.
PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD will have trophies and co-op will be making a return with extra features. There is no definite release date announced so far, but Mark South of Double Eleven, Ltd said that we can anticipate the game around summer.
